Self-Build Visitors Centre
Proving very popular, the centre
attracts people from not only all over Scotland but even from as
far as London.
They regularly get far flung visitors, from England
and the North of Scotland, who then take advantage of other
facilities in Livingston during their visit - e.g., local hotels,
shops and restaurants and we are proud of this knock on benefits
to local businesses.
The centre has really made an impact and it's success has generated a lot of news and feature coverage in national publications, such as The Herald.
The Scottish Self Build Visitors
Centre is open seven days a week (8.30-17.30, Mon -Fri and 10.00
-16.00 Sat & Sun) and has toilet and coffee facilities for
visitors.
It is a permanent exhibition hall
with a wide variety of 3-D exhibits
from manufacturers across the
UK which guide visitors through every step of the self build
process. The experience is enhanced by a variety of case studies,
computer animation and a wealth of complementary informative
literature.
There are no admission charges whatsoever and the last weekend in every month features a free seminar programme by an expert self build author which people can drop into
